CALENDAR USE DETAILS


WHAT EVENTS DOES IT COVER?

The general purpose of this Australian Calendar of Christian Events is to list special Christian events that may be occurring in your church, region or area. The idea is to build this calendar into a major national events calendar that is not oriented to any individual Christian denomination but to Christian events right across the nation.

While we will never be able to avoid clashes of events, these calendar will, hopefully, minimise clashes, especially in regional Australia. Too often there is a total lack of things happening in an area and then, all of a sudden, there are several that people would like to attend but they clash, weakening the benefits for all people.

This calendar is not for listing regular church events (such as meetings, services, study groups, youth meetings, etc.) but for those special events. This can include Christian concerts, Outreach Rallies,  Special Training events, Special speakers and any other event of some significance. When you send your event to us, we will look at it and, if we feel it needs clarification as to the significance, we will contact you and discuss the event before including it. This way we will avoid too many issues.

The calendar will not list ordinary social events (such as flower shows, AGM's, etc.) that are not specifically Christian events, important as these are to the social calendar of churches.


HOW DOES IT WORK?

The calendar will endeavour to be able to list events two years ahead so that people can have events listed well in advance to help avoid clashes. Events will then be listed according to the month and day that the event is being held. This method has been found to be the most effective with other site experiences. This enables you to look at the time you would like the event and then choose a suitable date, keeping in mind that just because the date is not listed on our calendar, does not mean there is not an event in your region because not everyone will list their events (for whatever reason).

When listing an event, if your event has a web site associated with it, then we need to know what that address is so that people can click on the link to get more details, make bookings, find out costs, etc..
